     "An Island Escape", the 9th annual GALA, was held April 26, 2008.  Once again, because of your support is was a huge success.  Thanks to all the parents, alumni, patrons, and students who volunteered for committees, bought and sold raffle tickets, and attended GALA.  All of you are special.  Your generous support continues to make this event a tremendous success! 

     The 2nd and 3rd prize winners of $1000 each were; (1) a Neumann group of Father Townsend, Father Timmerman, Patty Benal and Jill Johnson, and (2) Paul and Dotty Virgl, Paul is a '74 Alum of Neumann, and Dotty works in the office at St Johns.

     The 4th prize of $500 went to Greg and Deb Kucera, Greg is a '78 Alum of Bishop Neumann.

About the GALA Dinner/Auction

• The purpose of GALA is to foster Christian community and support for the Saunders County Catholic Schools by providing a fun, exciting, social and charitable evening where people will be invited to attend, support and contribute their time, talents and resources.

• GALA is designed to be elegant and impeccable in every detail. It includes a complimentary social, elegant dinner, extraordinary decorating, and a silent and live auction of donated items.

• GALA proceeds are divided between the three Saunders County Catholic Schools, with Bishop Neumann High School receiving 50 percent and St. John's and St. Wenceslaus receiving 25 percent each. Originally intended to fund capital & facilities improvements, proceeds from the event are used to fund items at the schools identified by the administration.

 GALA 2007 A HUGE SUCCESS

Dear Friends,

     Congratulations to all!  GALA was once again "The Event" to be at this past April, "An Evening in Italy...GALA 2007" was a huge success!  All of our 430 guests enjoyed a great party.  We once again reached a record year, raising more than $150,000 the largest year income in the eight years we have held GALA.  

     I'd like to thank the parents, alumni and students who volunteered for committees, bought and sold raffle tickets and attended GALA.  You are our treasures-we could not have done it without you!  I also would like to thank all of our donors; our auction was one of the best because of your generous support.  You help make our event a huge success.

     This year's general chairs; Dan & Deanne Homes, Dave & Ann Engel and Pat & Diane Vasa along with Father Townsend and myself look forward to your participation in GALA 2008 as a guest, volunteer or as a donor.
