Art

The Art Program at Bishop Neumann is taught by Mary Lorenz who is a graduate from Iowa State University and holds a B.A.-Art Education.  Mary has taught art at Bishop Neumann since the fall of 1989.  She helps students to develop their artistic skills and talents in many forms of creative media.  Art is also important for developing creativity and innovative thinking within the mind of each student.

 Congratulations to Anastasia Sousek!  Ana won two silvers and a gold key at the Scholastic Art Contest!! 
All three of her works were drawings.  There were 1,280 works and 890 students in grades 7-12 which were selected from the entire state of Nebraska.  Ana will receive her three keys at an awards ceremony on February 25th at the TAC building in Omaha, NE!
