St. John Bosco

The purpose of the St. John Bosco Society is to foster young men in their spiritual lives as well as to encourage the possibility of a priestly vocation as an option in their discernment of God’s will for them.


Neumann’s St. John Bosco Society encourages:

  • Attendance at Mass and faithful attention to one’s spiritual life
  • Reception of the sacraments of Confession & Holy Communion
  • Dedication to private & community prayer
  • Willingness to be of service & generous living
  • Leadership skills & being a good role model
  • Modesty in matters of chastity & purity
  • Good character, being drug, alcohol & tobacco free
  • Prayer time in front of the Blessed Sacrament during Adoration
  • Spiritual and Biblical reading or studying the Bible
  • Belief in the sanctity of life
  • Active participation in the Masses and prayers of the school and parish
  • Willingness to pray for religious vocation and willingness to remain open to a priestly vocation
