Bishop Neumann Catholic High School offers many events to our students, to encourage a diverse perspective about different cultures, to encourage them to enjoy the benefits of new friendships and experiences and to help them build their Catholic faith through activities and service.
Youth Mission Trips
SCS is planning two Youth Mission Trips in 2019, a 5 day mission trip to Chicago and one to New Mexico.
Chicago Mission Trip – This is the fourth year for the Chicago Mission Trip, students will support needy families and children in the Chicago area with activities such as working at a soup kitchen with the Missionary of Charities in Chicago, working at a homeless shelter, working at an after school care program to help keep kids safe and off the streets and working with Franciscans of the Eucharist.
Tentative Dates: June 11 – 16 Cost: $400
New Mexico Mission Trip – The students attending the New Mexico trip will be working with the Missionaries of Charity and the Little Sisters of the Poor in Gallup, NM. Activities include helping in a soup kitchen to feed the hungry; assisting the sisters with at the homeless shelter, helping to distribute goods to the poor, assisting the sisters with the elderly and helping with maintenance work on the mission grounds.

British Literature – London Pilgrimage
Bishop Neumann Juniors are invited each year to an exciting trip to London, England, where they learn about British history and culture first hand. The students visit many well-known London sites as well as several Catholic historic sites, including Westminster Abbey, Canterbury and Leeds Castle, as well as a short visit to Edinburgh. The London trip has been hosted by Tim Rezac since 2003 with over 400 total participants.

March for Life Pilgrimage – Washington, D. C.
Each year Bishop Neumann travels to Washington, D.C. to participate in the Annual Walk for Life, to support the sanctity of life and the end of abortion. The annual March for Life Rally is from noon-1pm on the anniversary of the Supreme Court decision in Roe v. Wade. The March begins with a Rally at the National Mall and then follow the traditional route up Constitution Avenue to the U.S. Supreme Court Building on Capitol Hill.

Walk for Life Pilgrimage – Lincoln, NE
Bishop Neumann students also participate in the Nebraska Walk for Life at the State Capital in Lincoln, NE each year. The Nebraska Walk for Life is in January of each year, click here for more information: http://nebraskarighttolife.org/walk-life/.
The Diocesan Niobrara Canoe Trips down the Niobrara River began in 1995 under the direction of Fr. Ronald Homes and hosted by the Family Life Office. The canoe trips are open to high school youth (seniors, juniors and sophomores) and college students. Adults are also welcome to volunteer as sponsors/drivers. Nearly 200 participants from all over the Diocese partake in one of three different canoe trips. This three-day outdoor adventure includes daily Mass, confessions, talks, private reflection time, and other opportunities for youth to grow in their relationship with Christ. A Campfire, skits and rosary fill the evening hours. Cost per camper is $85 including T-Shirt or $75 without T-Shirt.

Steubenville Conferences are specialized to address the needs of today’s Catholic youth. With an exciting lineup of speakers, musicians and presenters, the High School Youth Conferences challenge Catholic youth to stand firm in their faith, to rely upon the awesome power of Jesus Christ as their guide, friend and Savior, and to show them that faith to the world.
