I started teaching art in the fall of 1977 at Spalding Catholic High School in Granville, Iowa. I remained there for three years.  I left teaching for one year to work in fashion merchandising.  I missed teaching and I taught junior high religion and English for one year at Blessed Sacrament Grade in Sioux City.  I then moved to Omaha and taught seven years of art and religion at Cathedral High School.  Since the fall of 1989 I have taught art at Bishop Neumann.  For a time I did small group counseling for those who had suffered a loss through death or divorce on the high school level.

I married Tim Lorenz, a graduate of Bishop Neumann, in 1990. We have one son, Dan, who also graduated from this school in 2011.  It has been my honor and joy to teach at Bishop Neumann. I feel very blessed!  I danced with my fiancé at the 25th anniversary and helped to plan and celebrate the 50th.
