Seniors
Fall
– Visit with admission reps who visit Bishop Neumann – no limit!
– Apply to top 3 college choices
– Take ACT – December date is usually the last one colleges accept
– Make official visits to colleges
– Apply for FAFSA pin number
– Male students must apply for the Selective Service once they turn 18 years old
Winter
– Scholarship season is January – March!
– Don’t be afraid to call the financial aid department of the colleges you’re interested in to ask for other scholarship
opportunities
– Sign up to receive the scholarship emails from Mrs. Chvatal
– Complete the FAFSA by March 1st
Spring
– College visits must be completed by March 31st
– Compare financial aid packages and make final decisions
– Turn in registration and housing deposits
Summer
– Register for classes
Juniors
Fall
– Research colleges that might interest you
– Visit with college admission reps who visit with Bishop Neumann
– Attend Financial Aid Night given by EducationQuest
– Take ASVAB test
– Take PSAT test (optional)
Winter
– Attend College Planning Meeting at Neumann
– Sign up for an ACT prep course
Spring/Summer
– Visit colleges you’re interested in attending
– Take the ACT
– Sign up for an ACT prep course
– Complete a Student Resume using EducationQuest or Nebraska Career Connections
– Register with the NCAA or NAIA if you plan on participating in intercollegiate sports
Sophomores
Fall
– Take PLAN test
– Complete one of the Kuder Assessments found on Nebraska Career Connections
Spring
– Attend Career Fair at Midland University
Freshman
– Take EXPLORE test
– Create/update 4 year plans
