Bishop Neumann High School would like to welcome Bryan Van Deun as the Executive Director of Development and Advancement.
Bryan is a graduate of Franklin College in Indiana where he played football. His professional career started in admissions and financial aid administration at his alma mater before moving on to Iowa State University for his MS in Counselor Education while working in financial aid. He and his wife Karin, then moved back east, getting a Doctorate in Higher Education Administration and Government at Penn State. In 1983 he became the Associate Director for Programs of the Penn State Alumni Association and in 1987 became the President/CEO of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Alumni Association. In 1997 Bryan left to be Director of Development for Columbia College, Missouri and then to serve as President of Catholic Memorial High School in Waukesha, WI. Four years later he became Vice President of Development at Pheasants Forever in Minnesota and then returned to Lincoln where he served as Associate Vice President of Advancement at Doane College in Crete.
Bryan has two sons, Bryan II and Andrew. He also has two grandchildren, Barrett and Ainsley. His favorite hobby is fly fishing, and has traveled to New Zealand, Oregon, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, Missouri, Minnesota and Wisconsin to fish trout. He was an avid pheasant/quail and waterfowl hunter and model train builder.
Bryan’s start at Neumann has impacted him already. “What has really stood out to me is the respectful nature of the Neumann students and the welcoming nature of the faculty and staff. It will be a pleasure, actually honor, to raise money for Bishop Neumann High School for the glory and praise of His Most Holy Name,” he said.
Please, if you see Bryan around school, welcome him to the Bishop Neumann Family!
